The 4th edition of BFSHOW, one of the main footwear industry fairs in Brazil, held from May 19 to 21 in the Anhembi District (SP), generated more than R$240 million in international business. The number refers to the contracts signed and negotiations initiated with the 175 buyers officially invited through the fair and the Brazilian Footwear program, carried out by Abicalçados in partnership with ApexBrasil.
With more than 12 thousand visitors, more than 1,200 of whom were international, BFSHOW is consolidating itself as a global showcase for Brazilian footwear, bringing together representatives from more than 50 countries, a reflection of the growing appreciation for design, quality and innovation in national fashion.
This movement also highlights a strategic point: the internationalization of brands requires a solid legal structure. Operating in the foreign market requires attention to international contracts, intellectual property protection clauses, taxation, logistics, compliance and contractual liability.
Fashion Law, through specialized legal advice, is an essential tool for brands and companies seeking to expand their operations with security and business intelligence. From structuring contracts to protecting the brand in other countries, every detail must be analyzed in light of Brazilian legislation and international standards.
In a scenario in which exports are becoming a growth engine for the sector, with an expected increase of around 4% in 2025, according to Abicalçados, being legally prepared is more than a differential: it is a necessity.
